In addition to our fiction and non-fiction collections, we offer the following services:
Waitomo District Library provides free computing and internet access via the Aotearoa People's Network Kaharoa (APNK).
APNK PCs are available for customer use and are installed with a range of software, as well as a DVD and CD drive, USB ports, memory card slots, a webcam and headset.
There are four PCs for public use available on a first come first served basis, with a session limit of 30 minutes. There is also free wifi available during library open hours.

Waitomo District Library provides electronic resources by subscribing to the EPIC suite. Through EPIC, libraries have joined together to buy collective access to tens of thousands of electronic resources. EPIC has approximately 16,000 full text titles available, along with tens of thousands of biographies, newswires, photographs and graphics, and much more.

In partnership with the Te Kuiti Branch of NZSG, the Waitomo District Library hosts a number of genealogy workshops throughout the year. If you would like to know more contact the Library Team or look out for advertised events.
Waitomo District Library provides a free Community Outreach/Homebound service to customers living in Te Kuiti who are unable to visit the Library due to illness, a physical inability to leave your home or extreme physical difficulty in carrying books home. A Library Team member will select books on your behalf and deliver them to your home as well as collect books to be returned.

Books by Mail
If your account is in credit you now have the option to have items mailed to your home.
When using the online catalogue, select 'mail item to me' when putting an item on hold. Your item will then arrive in your letterbox within three working days of the book being available on the shelf.
Please note: there is a $4.50 postage fee per item.
If an item or topic you want is not held by Waitomo District Library you may try to request it via interloan from another library within New Zealand. You can request an Interloan item if you are a registered customer of Waitomo District Library and by discussing your request with a member of the Library Team.
Photocopying and Faxing
The Waitomo District Library offers a photocopying, laminating, scanning and fax service. We can photocopy A4 or A3 in colour or black and white. Fees Apply.
