Our roads maintenance contractor has spread grit on the road surfaces today in areas where we have noticed the bitumen bleeding (tar melting) - this regularly occurs in hot weather.

Waitomo District Aquatic Centre is open from 1pm - 5pm.
Waitomo District Library is closed.
Te Kuiti i-SITE Visitor Information Centre is open from 10am - 2pm.
Waitomo District Landfill is closed.
Transfer Stations: Kinohaku and Marokopa Transfer Stations are open 9am - 1pm.
Awakino, Benneydale and Piopio Transfer Stations are closed.
There are no Kerbside Refuse and Recycling Collection services taking place as per normal.
